Fiber to the Home Project
Ralls County Electric Cooperative (RCEC) started building out our fiber optic network in October 2010 and completed the membership portion of the buildout in 2014. We were the first Missouri Electric Distribution Cooperative to complete its fiber buildout to 100% of its membership.
RCEC is currently providing broadband, television and phone services. Broadband speeds start at 50 Mbps down and 20 Mbps up, with gigabit speeds available. Our television service offers nearly 325 channels including HBO, Starz, Encore, Showtime, Cinemax and a Sports programming tier. Our phone service includes unlimited local and long distance calling within the US and Canada.
Currently over 75% of RCEC membership subscribes to our fiber services through its wholly owned subsidiary Ralls Technologies, LLC. The project has been so successful that fiber buildouts have been made into Saverton, New London, Perry, Center, and Frankford.
The fiber optic network is also providing communication capability for our Automated Meter Reading service as well at substation monitoring and other upcoming Smart Grid services.
If you have any questions about the project, please feel free to fill out the form to the right and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Thanks
